MGC Renovations is a small business owned by Joel Montfort. He has been in the remodeling business for several years and has developed a real love for remodeling old homes. He graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BA in Art and had spent several years in high tech sales and as a Systems Engineer for both the big computer companies in Texas, until he found his real passion. " I spent years in technology sales, and really didn't feel like I was making much in the way of a meaningful contribution to the world. That drove me away from the corporate world and into renovations. I would like to think that I am preserving a small piece of Dallas every time I restore an old house or remodel a failing antique bathroom," Joel said. It is this sense of accomplishment that drives him from one project to the next. The belief that he is helping to preserve Dallas' history one house at a time.
