Comcast Cable Internet Troubleshooting
Tips/ Troubleshooting: We have Comcast running in our place. Make sure you get the kit to install it. It comes with the free modem and a splitter. You will need to make sure you hook the modem up to the correct side if you have an A/B side like we do in Dallas. Otherwise it will not work.
Splitting cable: Try both sides and only one should get the cable link light flashing. Make sure and turn off and on the modem each time you switch sides.
Comcast Internet Setup
You will have to call Comcast and activate the modem by giving them the mac address. This should get you going. You dont need to install any software if you have a router in front of the cable modem. Remember this: Unlike DSL you do not log into the cable network. So leave that info blank in your router.
