Milwaukee Sawzall Tools
Milwaukee Tools experience:
As contractor I am frequently asked what type of tools I use and recommend. I have always assumed that most people know a good product when they see it. But I have realized that when it comes to power tools most people dont have a clue. The only way to find out is to buy the tool and use it. I In my business I have purchased several reciprocating saws and the only one that is worth its weight is the Milwaukee sawzall.
I have had several other brands such as the Ridgid which has nice features but failed after 1 year because the release mechanism for the blades is cheap plastic. I dont think plastic should be involved in a tool for any other use other than as encasing. It is always the first thing to fail on all of my tools. I have purchased Ryobi once and realized it was useless for most cutting needs and dreadfullly underpowered. Dewalt makes a nice reciprocating saw but in my opinion the Milwaukee is the most reliable and easiest to use. I currently have the battery powered 18V model and 1 1/2 years later it is still running strong. We use it just about everyday and it still runs as well as the first time. I have even dropped if off a roof with no problems. It is suprisingly powerful with the battery and has a quick release for the blades that is made from durable metal. I have noticed that the model I have has been discontinued and is being replaced by the V28 Lithium Ion line.
